Doug Wiggins continues down his troubled path. The highly touted recruit has had issues ever since enrolling in college. At Uconn he failed two drug tests and ended up being such a hindrance that he was forced to transfer to UMass this season. You know you are a real piece of work when Coach Calhoun gives you the boot. He has dealt with some thugs–including Wiggins former teammate AJ Price. The difference is, post laptop stealing, AJ Price has seemingly righted his ship and is headed in the correct direction.
This from the Amherst Police log:
Douglas Edward Wiggins Jr., 20, of East Hartford, Con., was arrested Saturday at 3:49 a.m. at a Puffton Village home on a charge of breaking and entering to commit a misdemeanor, police said. Wiggins was arrested after he was found inside the bathroom of another person’s home, police said.
Maybe it’s all just a big misunderstanding. Dude had to ‘go’… it was an emergency. All of the Puffton Village apartment look the same–that’s the angle I’d play if I was Wiggins. It took me 4 years to figure out my way around that place.
Regardless, Wiggins has been suspended indefinately. He was sitting out the year due to transfer rules and now he might end up playing at Hartford. Good job, Doug.
