More info came out today regarding the NFL’s plan for what they are calling legacy games this 2009-2010 season. There will be 16 games in which the eight original AFL teams will wear historic uniforms.
The American Football League merged with the NFL in 1970. The AFL played its first season ten years earlier in 1960 with a total of eight teams. Those teams were the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs (Dallas Texans), New England Patriots (Boston Patriots), New York Jets (Titans of New York), Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans (Houston Oilers).
I think that 6 of the old uni’s have some nostalgic value to them. However, Denver’s and New York’s throwbacks are downright ugly.
Also how tall is Josh McDaniels? 5′3”?

I am looking forward to his. Especially to seeing the old Oilers uniform. Will be fun.
