Merriman Wants To Ring Ocho Cinco’s Neck

Shawne Merriman have been having some heated words via the world famous twitter over the past week. This is the latest, Merriman posted this video after Ocho Cinco brought Merriman up on his twitter page.

The best part is that Fox Sports and other outlets are actually reporting on this with a nice article entitled “Battle of Twits”. They even have a clever “tale of the tape” that compares the two NFL players as if they are heading into the Octagon.

Vontae Davis Arrested

According to the University of Illinois’ paper (which is where Davis went to school), Vontae was arrested a couple weeks ago for, get this, unnecessary vehicular noise and driving without a valid license.

Seems like nothing to me. BUT the funny part of this one is the fact that there were “character issues” with Vontae going into the draft. Character issues that the Miami Dolphins chose to ignore when selecting him in the first-round.

Gloria Estefan Is Buying the Miami Dolphins

It is being reported this morning that award winning singer Gloria Estefan is buying a small share of the ownership of the Miami Dolphins.

The current Dolphins majority owner is Stephen Ross. Ross made his fortune in real estate and completed the purchase of the Dolphins from Wayne Huizenga earlier this year for $1 billion.

Ross has ties to the Miami area. He attended Miami Beach High School and the University of Florida. He went on to earn degrees from Michigan Business School and Wayne State law school. The Michigan business school is now named after him. That’s pretty damn impressive.

Chad Ochocinco’s Recession Solution

I don’t know if you have been to Chad Johnson’s Ochocinco’s official website of late… well, of course you have. Why wouldn’t you? Personally, I just had to see if he had change his chadjohnson85.com URL to something more appropriate for his new moniker.

Well, the website is still up. It conveniently redirects you to the official Chad Ochocinco zazzle page. Yes a zazzle page. Zazzle.com, similar to cafepress.com, is a site where you can create your own designs and sell your own custom t-shirts.

The first thing I wonder is whether Chad really needs this extra side business to make ends meet. I know times are tough but come on. Just an FYI, in 2006 Chad signed a $35 million deal that runs through 2011. Once I get past this absurdity, I took a closer look at the products on the site.
